However, people sometimes forget that health plan coverage can be affected by major events in life, such as the birth of a child, marriage, divorce, and even death.
For example, before the birth of your child, you decorate the baby’s room, read all the baby books you can find, and buy a few carloads of diapers. By the time the baby arrives, you might forget to add the baby to your plan. It’s important to be aware of time limits because some changes to your plan need to be made within a small window of time.
