Quitting Tobacco and Cravings
Quitting tobacco (cigarettes, e-cigarettes or vapes, chew, snuff, snus, and other types of smokeless tobacco) is one of the hardest things to do. It’s also the number one way to improve your health and the health of loved ones who may be exposed to secondhand smoke and vapor, or aerosol from electronic cigarettes. HMSA partners with the Hawaii Tobacco Quitline to give you free support and resources such as nicotine gum, patches, and lozenges to help you quit for good.
If you’re ready to start your journey toward a tobacco-free life, we have three options for you:
- Contact the Hawaii Tobacco Quitline by visiting hawaiiquitline.org or calling 1-800- QUIT NOW (1-800-784-8669) to get started.
- Reach out to an HMSA health coach online or call 1-855-329-5461 if you're thinking about quitting.
- Let your primary care provider know you want to quit so you can discuss treatment options.
