  There are several things you may have to consider if you want to add an eligible dependent to you plan.

  You can add your spouse to your HMSA plan within 31 days of your wedding day. The effective date of coverage will be the first day of the next month.

  Under health care reform, your children - regardless of marital status, financial dependency, or residency - can stay on your plan until they turn 26.

  If covered under health care reform, certain contraceptives and services are available to you at no charge when prescribed and rendered by an HMSA participating provider.
