Infusion Pump

For HMSA's billing purposes, infusion pumps for chemotherapy are treated the same as any other medical supply; if the pump is used to deliver the chemotherapy agent while in the facility, the cost is covered under the all-inclusive rate. In cases when the patient receives the medication at the facility but uses the infusion pump at home, coverage is determined by DMERC policies. Infusion pumps may be billed only once during any given month.
