QUEST Integration – Newborn Claims

Claims for newborns may be submitted with the mother’s QUEST Integration ID number if the mother was eligible at the time of the newborn’s birth. Claims may also be submitted using the mother’s QUEST Integration ID number for services rendered within 30 days from the date of birth. The mother must be eligible at the time services are rendered. This allows claims to be filed during the newborn’s enrollment process for QUEST Integration. After 30 days, claims must be submitted using the infant’s membership number.

When submitting claims with the mother’s ID number, the claim should have all other identifying information such as full name, date of birth, and gender pertaining to the infant. If the name is unknown, an identifier such as “Baby Boy” or “Baby Girl” may be used.
