Health care reform

What is health care reform?

Health care reform, Obamacare, and the ACA or Affordable Care Act are all the same thing. It was signed into law in 2010 to help more people get health care coverage.

Because of it, you can remain under your parent's plan up to age 26. It provides preventive screenings and immunizations at no charge, and certain health care services to women at no charge.

Learn more6 about health care reform.

Is the student plan different than Affordable Care Act plans?

The student plan offers benefits that Affordable Care Act (ACA) plans don’t. Prices for the ACA plans are based on your age. The student plan price is the same for all students regardless of age.

The student plan is open to all U.S. and international students as long as you meet the eligibility requirements. It includes coverage for medical evacuation and repatriation benefits, which international students are required to have.
