QUEST - Health Education

All adult HMSA QUEST members have access to educational programs and classes offered by HMSA. Classes include:


  • Fitness Basics – a beginner level class that teaches the basics of fitness, including strengthening, aerobics, stretching skills, and how to stay on track
  • Healthy Eating – teaches how to create shopping lists, budgets, plan meals, experiment with new recipes, and make healthy snacks
  • Stress Management – offers tips on how to control stress with breathing exercises, relaxation techniques
  • Exercise for Older Adults – talks about how changes in our muscles, bones , heart, and senses impact our bodies as we age and the types of exercises that are good for older adults
  • Strength and Balance – educates on risk factors for falls, and balance basics, exercises to reduce risk factors
  • Meditation – explores the science behind the techniques to help reduce stress-related symptoms so the body can relax and restore itself

Classes are offered several times during the year at various locations.  Dates, times and locations vary according to member interest and availability of meeting rooms.


Sessions are free to HMSA QUEST members when referred by their PCP.  To register a patient, please call QUEST Provider Service at 948-6486 on Oahu or toll-free from the Neighbor Islands at 1 (800) 440-0640.  Your patient will be contacted to schedule a specific time and class.
