preventive dental care you need. All HMSA dental plans cover two cleanings and two
exams per year. You receive complete coverage for:
- Preventive services (oral exams, teeth cleanings and X-rays).
- Basic restorations (fillings, extractions and root canals).
- Major restorations (crowns, bridges and dentures).

Dental Plans
HMSA offers two dental plans to complement your medical coverage:
- Dental PPO – Freedom to see any dental provider.
- Dental HMO – Receive all your dental care from
Hawaii Family Dental Centers (HFDC).
Eligibility: HMSA Dental plans are available through an employer group
health plan. Check with your employer regarding your health plan benefits. If you
currently have an HMSA medical plan but don’t have dental coverage, you and
