For most mail-order prescriptions, existing refills were automatically transferred
from Medco (now known as Express Scripts) to the CVS Caremark mail-order pharmacy.
However, this did not include prescriptions for controlled substances and/or compound
medicines, which cannot be transferred by law. Please contact your physician for
a new prescription if your prescription is a controlled substance or a compound
If your mail-order prescription did not have any refills or has expired by law,
you will need to contact your physician for a new prescription.
If you find any errors in your transferred mail-order prescriptions, call
HMSA Customer Relations and choose the drug option to speak with a CVS Caremark
representative. Representatives are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
