2013 Winners
There is immense talent among our youth, and it keeps getting better! This was made
apparent by the 157 videos submitted this year by young producers from 33 public
and independent middle and high schools across the state.
The 2013 HMSA Teen Video Awards Contest challenged students to enter 27-second public-service
announcements about how choices today impact tomorrow. Video categories included
addiction prevention, healthy living, mental health, and teen safety. Finalists
were honored at a red-carpet awards ceremony on Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at the Hawaii
Convention Center in Honolulu. Winners received money to purchase video equipment
for their schools.
Congratulations to the winners of the 2013 HMSA Teen Video Awards Contest, brought
to you by HMSA, the Hawaii State Department of Education, the Domestic Violence
Action Center, the Hawaii Meth Project, and MADD Hawaii.
