Kaimana Hall of Fame
The HMSA Kaimana Awards & Scholarship Program recognizes and rewards excellence
in athletics, academics, sportsmanship, and community service. The program promotes
success and sportsmanship at Hawaii high schools, rewards achievements of student
athletes, and helps support coaches’ education.
Schools in each division receive first-, second-, and third-place Kaimana Awards
based on their students’ athletic achievements, academic performance, sportsmanship,
and service to the community.
HMSA Kaimana Scholarships are awarded to student athletes who uplift and inspire
fellow students with their physical skills, sportsmanship, academic success, and
service to their communities. Applicants must maintain a cumulative grade point
average of at least 2.75, participate on one or more league-recognized sports teams
during their high school years, and graduate at the end of their senior year.
Each year, the HMSA Kaimana Awards & Scholarship Program assists coaches through
various outlets, including funding for training and certification or coaches clinics.
These programs are designed to promote learning and enrichment and to support the
many challenges and responsibilities that coaches face.
